The various shades of pear in this marquetry make the subtle shading necessary for skin tones. American Finches are my favourite summer bird. They fill my yard and I love the sound of their whistles and songs. Picture sold.
Just because no-one has ever used glitter yarn in a hooked rug, doesn’t mean it can’t be done. This background includes handspun yarn and repurposed wool from a man’s old dress jacket.
Fish printing originated in ancient Japan, where fishmen used ink to preserve a record of their catch. I use imported Mulberry paper and can print fish up to 45 inches long. This is a print of my largest trout ever – a 53 cm Rainbow Trout from an Alberta River.
